Talking about turning quicker, found an interesting thing at the weekend, I am still running a very similar pace between the TZ750 and the Z1R. I think I am going a lot quicker without so much fuss on the TZ but not by the laps times. There is this one 180 degree off camber corner at Roebling and basically you run in hard, drift out a little, turn it back and fire out. Well, off throttle the Z1R turns into the corner, the TZ does exactly the opposite, it just drifts wide. Now not a problem with plenty of grip, but on a cold damp area of the track getting off the line is interesting. When you are going wide, it takes a little confidence to gas it to get the bike to turn. Learn something new everyrace! |
