Building a stock H2 to run in Super Eliminator down in Valdosta next month. This is not a restoration but just fixing a rolling chassis that I had in the shop. I have new tubes and tires done and am cleaning up the wheels before I put them on. I will try and install the motor this weekend and have a goal of starting it the following weekend. I am unable to access my photo bucket so I don't have the ability to post pics at the moment, but will post on the progress as I go.

Cool project, Carl! You can post photos directly on this board now without Photobucket. Below the text box you can browse for the file on your computer, and attach it. You may have to resize the big ones first. This one is 1024x768 and it went OK:

I have cleaned up the front rim and mounted it. I will have to pick up some pads for the EX500 caliper and will be done with the front. I am about half way done with the rear, not trying to make a show bike but wanted to clean up as much as possible with the wheel off. This roller has been sitting over 30 years. Its a repaint but doesn't look too bad, its a lighter shade of blue similar to Joe's bike.

Me too Tim, thanks for the words of encouragement. I am cleaning up the rear wheel now and will pick up some pads tomorrow at the local bike shop to finish the brake mod. It was the the phoenix project that has me upgrading the brakes.

Getting very close on the Super Eliminator project but will not make the World Finals this year. :( Just too many loose ends to tie up and want to do some test and tune beforehand. I don't want to hurt a motor not properly tuned so I will set sight on the springtime race...
