Long story short..... Are they any good? :lol:
Was thinking on basically doing Denco 75hp (road race) porting specs for my short track race bike to be. With 34s and I am going to rework the squish band and of coarse chambers. Reeds aren't allowed under our rules. I don't want to get carried away with this engine.
It needs to be reasonably reliable. But I don't want to leave it stock because I just want to do something to it.

Ive bought the 34s. I had the die grinder in my hand this afternoon.....Thought I better ask here before I actually use it. :P

Those should be fine. A bit out dated though. And don't cut the piston skirt.

That's one of the reasons of loss of power at lower rpm's, more reversion. The added intake duration helps at very high RPM, so if that is what you are going for, then yes, but not a lot. One school thought you need a lot of intake duration. And you can widen the EX to 68% cordle safely.

I cut the pistons on my street H1, when I was a kid. It made great power between 8,500 and 9,000, and got about 7MPG.......... :lol:

What about the transfers? I have air tools to work on them. should I just clean them up and make them all the same or should I go further with them?

even w/o cuting piston skirt sound typical of a standart early H1 :lol: :lol: :lol:

With the amount yo are raising the EX, you really don't need to raise the transfers. If yo have the right tools, do even out the transfer height and clean up the mismatch of the aluminum to the liner. Do not shorten or sharpen the transfer dividers.

OK thanks. yea after having them vapour blasted it makes the mismatch and messiness of the castings really stick out like dogs balls.
There was even a couple of ali dags in the corners of transfers that I knocked off easily with a screwdriver.
