Beautiful bike, great photo. A restoration from Germany, as far as I can tell, anyone know more?

This bike has been mine from 1990 to 2005 and I restored it with the exception of the body work. It is the first replica bike built in 1983/1984 by Augusto Camera from Italy, a modified copy from his original 74 ex-Walter Villa H2R, that he later sold to Dave Crussell. Fortunately this replica had the original 74 H2R engine with the exception of the dry clutch in it. Later on I sold this engine and 74 exhausts to Dave C. to be re-united with its original Chassis and to financiate my KR750 project. I then sold this remaining chassis in 2005 to J.M. Herhard, a Ducati Dealer from Metz in France. He restored the body parts and added new exhausts and a modified H2 engine with a replica dry clutch (also from Augusto). The photo represents the current status. J.M. sold this bike 3-4 years ago to superbike champion Tom Sykes, who meanwhile changed the fiber glass tank in favor for an aluminium one due to a leakage.
I will post some photos later.

Best regards,
Ludwig

Hi Jean-Pierre,

nice to her from you again since we met at the Dutch triple Meeting a few years ago. Unfortunately Paris did not work out two years ago. Are you planning going to some European Meetings in 2017?

Best regards
Ludwig

Thank you, kr602, that is a great story, thank you for sharing that with us! I production raced a stock H2 in Australia, and followed the exploits of Neville Doyle/Greg Hansford in Team Kawasaki Australia.

Hi Jean-Pierre,

probably I will be on the German triple meeting before going to Italy also. Yes, Augusto used Campagnolos and Neville Doyle did it also, at first 1979 onthe trapezoid 602S and later after refusing the 4-cylinder he kept the wheels for the last races with the triple KR750.

Best regards,
Ludwig
PS: is your private email still valid?

Here are some pics of the bespoken H2R, still in Italy when Augusto rode it street legal!
