I have just got around to posting this, an on-board from my Bighorn roadracer at Barber from 2011. Yes I know I am a little slow.

I have a shifting problem trying to get into second gear at the start, after 5 frantic laps I am battling for the lead and the top came off my carb.

I was out at Barber a few weekends ago, leading the race and I clipped a back marker I was passing and went down. Guess there is something about Barber and the Big Horney.

Sure looked like that was a lot more fun than the race I was at a few hours ago, rained, NO, monsooned big time. I miss the club racing back home, just a whole lot nicer than the cutthroat stuff I see now.

Shifter stop pin could be bent, or misadjusted shifter stop pin inside clutch cover, but sounds more like wet clutch drag. Surprised you haven't built a dry clutch for it yet, but that's probably illegal in those classes.
