Post subject:  factory H2 racer
Does anybody have the engine location and swing arm pivot dimensions for the factory H2 racer. I may be duplicating my frame out of chrome moly and have heard that the engine would be better moved forward slightly.
Any info appreciated.

Forward, and tilted up a couple to 3 degrees on the front of the engine. One of Dave's bikes has this, and is clearly seen in the picture of it. This was a version between standard H2R and "Talladega" type. Talladega were the ones with the room behind the engine for the left pipe to come "up and over" the engine and out the other side of the chassis under the seat. This one is between one of those, and standard chassis, which was a highly modified H1R-AS chassis.

Note: The placement kept the output shaft/front sprocket in the stock position up to down, but moved it forward a bit.

have a KR 750 frame and swing arm Henri can take the dimensions Henri but KR 7520 engine isn'yt exactly the same than H2 engine 8-)

Henry, check with Rick Yates or Jim (Pipewelder) on the Canadian forum.
Each has had dealings with creating replica H2 frames, so perhaps they can help as well.

Jim Breslin (pipe welder on the Canadian board) is an excellent resource on the H2R frame, he's done quite of research. Jim's friend Dennis Curtis has been building frames since the 70's

Here is a picture of a H2R with the engine moved forward and up. My race bike is also set up like this and it make the steering much better.

Yup, that be the one I seen at Dave's Dive and Race Bike Emporium.

In the pictures a bit above, of the bike sitting outside, take a look at the KAWASAKI insignia on the clutch cover, it appears somewhat level. Now, consider the bike is sitting rear end up, on the work stand, what happens to the insignia when the bike is sitting level on both tires? My impression would be that the engine in that bike has the front lift, and tilt, but, not as much as Dave's does.
