I remember seeing the picture of the Denco bikes in the magazine article, but I can't remember if the picture on the wall could be seen on those shots or not. Anyone still have the magazine to confirm or not?

I loved my S1A 500, it's about time Hal sold that back to me. I was inspired by another bike, Leo's I think, at a triples rally.

Found a horrible S1A as the starting point and then the remains of a H1 engine. I was lucky to find an NOS tank when a dealer was selling out and had the rest of the metal work painted to match it.

My Dad and I put the bike together over a number of weekends.

The engine was modified to H1R spec, with stepped liners locating the heads.

Those pipes in the picture were crap, Terry Beckett if I remember correctly. I purchased a set of Denco cones from Rick and build those for the bike, that made it much more interesting.

The bike was my regular rider for 3-4 years before I sold it when I came over to the US.

Yes Leo was and is alway a great fan of S1/2 frame with H1 engine or H1 (later) frame with H2 engine 8-)
