Just finished the race on my TZ750 in the Formula 1 class. Phew, tough crowd this year.

My lap times were about the same as my last race in 2013. I had an issue on the last lap, a big slide in Glen Helen, where I stopped got off the bike and check the rear wheel for oil.

The event is taken much more seriously now with many professional riders on late 80's and early 90's 4 strokes. If I had run my fastest lap for every lap including the pit stop, I would have been 26th.

I had a great time, the TZ is still an awesome tool, I wish someone was taking pictures at Agos Leap as I had one 6th gear wheelie where I needed to stand up to see over the front wheel.

Not too many triples around, I saw a group of 4-6 250/400s in Douglas.

Dave

They had a bizarre rule in place this year that I did not understand before the event. Normally the divide the F1 race into two periods, pre 82 and pre 92. However, this year pre 82 included air cooled bikes only, water cooled were all lumped into P2.

I would have finished on my 77 design bike in 3rd place in P1, because of the rule I was 31st in P2.

Good time, the blisters on my hands are starting to heal over.

Dave, did it piss down rain in buckets where you were there? It did where I was, not that far away from there. Miserable.

There was about thirty triples over there this year from the KTC, half of us stopping at the same hotel in Douglas. Weather was great
