If I can get her finished in time, we shall have a shot at a hillclimb about 2 hours from home.

Whoo hooo ! I just put all the carbs back on after some reworking and it is SHARP. Very surprised punter sitting in a Corolla in the industrial park, third gear powerslide , only to keep the side wheel down you understand...... Looking forward to tomorrow.

Mmm, bit more interest than we would have liked. We ended up with second place in the sidecars, modern and historic combined. Only did three runs on the H2. We also took my "other" triple. Dirt Track sidecar with a Speed Triple Triumph engine in it. Road tyres obviously. Had a small lose in a real tight bend, where the machine slid to a sudden halt sideways and the bride was shot off onto the trackside. Some rocks in the grass broke her fall. Off to the local hospital for x rays etc. She is fine, but a bit banged up of course. Glenys won fastest female award on the day, and the H2 outfit was second overall, we may well have got more time off with some more runs.No practise to speak of really, so next year is the go. Bike went well and was a popular competitor. Bit of a damper on a real fun day. One is encouraged to do burnouts to heat the tyre etc. Cheers guys.
