Rookie warning. So, do any of you regulars have any suggestions about what someone should bring to the gap? What does everyone do for food? (man cannot live on beer alone, I know, I've tried! ) Is there plenty of parking for our trucks and trailers? I am thinking about bringing a guitar or a mandolin, or maybe both (I am not very good). The few minutes I spent there last year, I don't remember the rooms being very big. I know, all the tools you can carry, old rags and hand cleaner. Do the rooms have refrigerators, microwaves and coffee pots? What about wireless internet? Other suggestions? Thanks.

m in sc pretty much filled you in. There is a beer store 9 miles down the road at Fonatana village (a great drive BTW).

The fridg's are small...I bring a cooler for beer and ice. I bring my own whiskey (Gentleman Jack)....
The cafe is pretty good for coffee, breakfast and hamburger type stuff.

Plus they have a really good extra large Barbeque sandwich with coleslaw and huge onion rings.

Years ago, I wrote a "beginners guide to Deals Gap" with input from some of the guys. It's way outdated now. That was before they had the restaurant and refrigerators. Maybe someday someone should update it. I think it's still somewhere on Jeff's server.

There's usually a shortage of women at the gap so if you'd like to bring a couple of strippers with you, I'm sure no one would complain.

Re- Strippers, Buddy you forgot to add the they must have all their teeth in good repair disclaimer for the strippers. I can't stand strippers with poor dental health.
