Another fun Deals Gap 2 Stroke Meet under the belt. I didn't do a whole lot of riding, but I had a lot of fun. The rain did put a bit of a damper on things for a couple of days, but even the 8 hour power outage didn't deter us from having coffee on Wednesday (might have been Tuesday) morning. The DGMR has a generator to power the motel, but it failed in the middle of the night and wasnt repaired until late morning. However, I had delivered a vintage Suzuki generator to Mike Long. A splash of race gas and we had coffee. Jack, from Cycledrag, arrived on Friday and highlighted several bikes including Mark Haase's watercooled RD350 and Joe Barlow's RG500. For the bad, David Miller crashed his GT550 and had to be hospitalized with several broken bones. As far as I know, that was the only crash. I left for home at 10am on Saturday, stopped for a visit with Dale Bronnenbeg (Mraxl) and then between traffic and a short nap, arrived home at 6AM on Mother's Day, sans flowers because the 24hr grocery store is now a 8am - 11pm grocery store. The 26th Annual 2 Stroke Motorcycle Meet is scheduled for 5/4/2025 - 5/11/2025. |

Ga and I had a great time too, Jeff. Thank you for organizing things again! The only time the rain actually affected our riding was when we got caught in a thunderstorm on the way back from Wayah Rd., but the sun was out by the time we got back. Which David is David Miller? Is he the Brit who stays with Mark H? |

@ JIM, YES, THATS HIM. Broken ribs/collarbone/scapula. went down around 50 mph on 129 on a flat section in a slight curve. not sure what happened. To the point, i rode the bike back to the house. Hes out of work 6 weeks while healing. |

Oh crap! I didn't hear about that until I read this thread. Wow, I'm very sorry to hear about it and I hope he heals quickly and completely. |
