Glad you are on the mend Steve and can make the Gap. Sorry to hear of your accident.

Wow that was a longtime ago! First and last time I had both of my H2's there at the same time (left side of the pic on both sides of Jeff's green Tracey body).

My first trip. Pinky wasn't pink yet.....

Rain all week? Not sure who's saying that. Accuweather is saying the worst day is Monday, with a 66% chance of a thunderstorm, then Tuesday-Thursday have only a 30% chance of rain, Friday and Saturday Sunny all day.

There is NO WAY the Weather Idiots have a clue about what the weather is going to be this far ahead for the week. Millions and Millions for weather bling like radar and satellites, and still they are only marginally better than when our bikes were new.

I am so burned that being away from work, not having cell service and hanging with you geasers will be awesome regardless of weather.

There is still no cell or internet service, correct?
10 years ago, I don't think we got reception in Robinsville either.

No cell or network service at Deals Gap. You can make a call if you drive partway to Robbinsville and stop at the overlook near the firehouse, and lean over the guard rail and stick one leg in the air.

You can get Verizon cell service and and an Internet connection in or near the lobby at the main lodge at Fontana Village. Also at the restaurant there that has the big porch facing downhill. Other places in the area too, but you want to get away from all that. :P

Sounds like country directions to me...

Go down the old farmer's road and turn a half mile before where the big rock used to be...
