Had my KE100 on the Cherohala Skyway on Friday. Several long grinds plugging away in 3rd or 2nd to get up those hills, but the downhills were sweet. Somehow my bike tied its best MPG for the week riding it at 48+ MPG.

Riding KY-360 back to the resort after was fun, nice sweeping turns without much elevation change, allowing me to primarily keep the bike high in the RPMs in 5th. :D

Sorry I missed you Aaron. My daughter and I left Friday morning.

Your mileage is just about what my Yamaha DT100 gets. It's interesting that the Ninja 250 my daughter rides averages 65-70 mpg, and my Moto Guzzi 1000 averages low-mid 50s. You beat my H2 though, it was averaging right around 33 last week.

Zambia, I once made it about 40 miles to reserve with my H2. It turned out a couple float valves were sticking open and dumping tons of gas in the engine. It sure surprised me when I filled up, went for a short ride, and hit reserve before I got home.

I hate it when you run onto reserve in the middle of a top speed, flat out run..............left hand moves quickly, engine starts "whistling"!!

Next year! I'm bound and determined complete the ride to/from the meet unassisted.
