Im posting for my friend Justin who has this. I personally know the bikes as i actually did some work to it, including the tune up and top end build. last sunday we were riding it and it pulled a 4th gear power wheelie on the street.. in 4th gear. its no joke.
there is a slight ding in the tank (paint only) about 3-5mm in diameter.
Justin bought this from my buddy dave who, if you were at the gap, had that almost perfect TS400. lots of cash went into this build. i asked john if i could list it here, he said okay.

and yes, the bike pictured is the EXACT SAME BIKE being sold. thats my friend daves house in the background.

feel free to contact me or justin.

located near charlotte, NC (ft mill, sc actually. about 12 miles from me if you have ever been to my place)

So, here ya go:

for sale:

this is a 1974 Husqvarna CR400. the aluminum fenders are 72 model year. way sexier than the plastic in my opinion. everything has been gone through. engine has probably 25 miles on it now. all new parts, all new seals. the bike is actually street legal! it is currently plated and registered. the light is an 8" baja designs SolTek unit custom made for this bike. the little bag holds the electrics and also the horn. this unit alone was over a grand. new seat. the tank has been restored by a Husky restorer in Cali and looks almost perfect. there is a small scratch on the front corner. its paint, not stickers. frame is in great shape. has new electronic ignition. upgraded reed setup with Mikuni. all new cables. new 500.00 classic race shocks from Falcon. brand new stainless spokes laced to re powdercoated hubs and new Excell aluminum rims. tires are brand new dual sports. has Vapor computer. comes with new sprockets for gear changes from 14-17t. Ill update as I think of any other details. theres way more money in this thing than I will get out of it, but it needs to go.

I rode a new one back in 75/76. A serious arm jerker.

Hi,

I'm working on the same cr 400 and would like to make it street legal. Can you please help me source where the components were purchased?

I already contacted baja, here and what did you do to add a lighting coil to the stator?

Thanks,
Matt
