Picked up a 72 H2 motor #00325 today, been sitting forever. Before i get around to parting it out, i was advised to see if someone that must have a low vin H2 motor might want it. It probably has the early cylinders, but one has broken fins, repairable i am told. Asking $2k. Has stator and oil pump on it. I can part it out for more. Not parting it out any time soon too busy.

You would probably need to take it apart and evaluate what's there before you'd know if there are parts worth saving. Obviously, broken fins point toward someone trying to get it apart unsuccessfully at some point. Since anyone buying it would have to do a complete rebuild, it might be wise to do the disassembly and post lots of photos. If someone wanted the complete engine and it's in decent shape, he'd pay more if he could see everything than if it's just a long neglected lump.

Just threw it up here, i agree they all can be lumps. Its hard to even get the the scrap metal man to pick up H1 motors.

This is listed on Vintage Connection: (Case only)

Asking Price: $2600.00

H2 750 engine crankcases SUPER LOW VIN
I have for sale a super low vin set of engine cases for the Kawasaki H2 750 triples, H2E00097. This set of cases was most likely produced on the first or second day of production of the legendary H2 750 Widowmakers! This set of cases is in good condition, nothing cracked or broken and all of the mating and mounting surfaces look good. The centering studs for the trans and kick shaft are pushed down nearly flush with the cases. Ask yourself, what would this bike be worth when finished? Price includes shipping anywhere in the lower 48 USA. Thank you.

It should bring what you're asking - those early VIN engines don't grow on trees.
