I have this 1976 KH400 that I bought last summer in Anchorage, Alaska and stored at my dad's house. This summer I visited again, put about 40 miles on it and crated it up. I thought I had a buyer but he changed his mind. Now let's see if there's anyone else interested. The asking price is $3,500.

I checked with a shipping company and it will cost $1,200 to truck it down to California and ship it to Hawaii (where I live). So if you live anywhere in the continental U.S. i think the shipping will run you less than that. The bike has 224 miles on it and it runs just great. I am told the first owner rode it around and went in the bushes, banged it up a bit and parked it in a warehouse. The second owner picked it up from an Anchorage motorcycle shop. He rode it a little, decided he likes 4-strokes better and sold it to me.

I have six motorcycles already and they are parked in my carport and in the back yard. This is the only reason I am considering selling the KH400. If I ship it back to Honolulu I think I'll have to look into renting a storage space.

Let me know if you're interested. The bodywork has lots of small dings and dents, the seat cover is not original. Other parts of the bike, such as the frame, forks, and wheels look nearly brand new. I think the tires are original and I haven't found a single crack in them.

I have the title and a brand new battery is installed.

Thanks, Mike

Not much interest...

I rechecked with the shipping company and they can send it to Honolulu via Seattle for $1,000. Just mentioning that because it would be less expensive to truck it somewhere in the continental 48 states.

Any takers at $3,000?

To me, the great thing about this bike is the extremely low miles and it runs like it's brand new.

There were inquiries but nobody had the cash ready. The bike is being shipped to Honolulu, where I live. When it gets here I'll put on stock pattern seat cover and some superbike handlebars, then ride it.

That would be so fun to ride along the beach on an island, or along tropical tree-lined roads! Enjoy your Triple!
