Without going into too many details.. We are moving...

I am in downsizing mode like never before.

All my Yamaha Stuff has to go.

I've got two COMPLETE RD400's ('77). One has clear title, one does not. Both are in various stages of disassembly. One has a completely rebuilt engine that has not yet ran (have receipts) including rebuilt crank. Both engines are 100% complete.
One bike is horribly rusty (titled one) and the other is actually quite nice with overall good chrome, etc.
That said, both still need plenty of "resto" type work.
Also included is an additional RD400 engine (so, that's THREE engines), Vintage Smoke Dyna ignition upgrade, another FRESHLY rebuilt crankshaft (Yamaha Bearings, NEW RODS, and lab Seals courtesy of Economy Cycle and Charlie Smith). There is also an additional tub containing some nice RD250/350 parts including bodywork, pipes, etc That Im going to throw in.

Out of this lot, one very nice RD400 could be built, with enough parts left over to build an additional cafe racer. Or another stock resto if you're so inclinded.

ALL of the RD stuff must go. Everything I have that is Yamaha RD related is included...

Going to ask $2200.00 for the lot. This stuff would part out for far more than that.

I'll try to get some photos up the next few days.

Up until yesterday, I would have been willing to trade/partial trade for a 16' enclosed trailer, but I actually bought a 17' Cube Van yesterday... Seriously...
That's how close we are to moving...

help me.

any ?????'s give me a shout.

thanks.

If it is the same crank, it is not only rebuilt, but rebuilt and trued to ZERO runout.

Good luck on the sale. I see you put them up on 2strokeworld as well. I would also suggest you put them up on dotheton if you haven't. If you don't have an account there, let me know and I will put them up for you with the links to here and 2SW.

It most definitely IS the same crank Charlie!!!

There are 2 rebuilt cranks (Both never run) cranks in this lot. Charlie's, and one done by a local (reputable) shop in the mid-2000's...

That right there is $700-800 worth of crap, er.... "Value".

I don't have an account over there, but that would be just fine with me if you wanted to post it up

I'm going to try to get some photos today.

Do you want to sell one of those rebuilt cranks?

I can't buy the whole lot, it would cost too much to ship to Honolulu.

Here are some freshly taken photos.... There is a lot of stuff "not shown" in these pics, but it should give an idea. As stated, both bikes are (mostly) complete. And unlike "usual" internet pics, this stuff is actually in better shape than photos show...everything is just DIRTY and DUSTY.. The blue bike was hauled in a snowstorm in an open trailer (probably behind a salt truck) so is covered in rust/pitting. Oddly enough, a lot of this is still restorable. Fork tubes somehow survived unscathed? It was a very nice before the PO made this poor decision.. :rolleyes:The engine on the bike is FRESH however and clean inside. Has boyer iggy, but I also have a nice stock iggy that is in one of the boxes. I could go on and on describing each and every part in this lot, but don't have time/motivation. Off the top of my head, the things I know are missing is one front fender, one iggy key, one center stand.... It comes with so many "extras" that could be sold to purchase the missing parts, its much better than a "wash".....

Yeah, that would be a bit spendy....
I'm going to leave it up as a "lot" for a little while and if no interest, I guess I would consider selling off chunks. I'll keep you in mind for the crank. It would be Charlies crank as the other rebuilt one is in an engine and I'm not pulling this stuff apart any further.... lol

My main goal right now is to get rid of as much stuff I can before moving. I REALLY do NOT have the time or desire to start parting things out...but if it comes to that, so be it.
