Nepal is a lot cooler than a '72 H2. 8-) Doesn't sound all that expensive for what (for me) would be a once in a lifetime experience!

that said..How much of that 20K was for Sherpa Rental?

The Sherpa himself (more of a lead/guide) is 5K and includes all the minor sherpas who carry most of the gear, tents, set up camp, cook meals etc. Plus each couple (only my wife and I plus another couple we were in Peru and Egypt with) so the price is a little higher overall since there's only 4 people. Anyway the tip for them is another 3K or so. plus all the travel expenses, plus gear, plus mandatory emergency bond (or proof of trip insurance - that was 1250 for Liz and I). Plus gear we did not have like mil-spec solar chargers for camera's etc. It starts to add up.

I'll go for that (if it has everything else with it? Clocks Etc? :eh: ) Just finished my own new "rider" so I am away from totally stock bikes for a while . . . My new bike made me smile tonight - it runs like EVERY H2 should run (It's all early stuff on the engine - no porting just stock) I just wish that everyone could ride a H2 that runs as well as this and walk away saying "NOW I know what all the fuss was about!"

Try U-ship or others and see how much shipping would be...my guess $600-800 MN to CA, possibly less if someone were to be going that way anyway and was willing to cut a deal...?
