Hey guys...

Image

mn-mark and I have found a local machine shop willing to do the EX500 "cut-away" rotors. Ja-moo (Mr. Aylor, inventor of the design and ex-500 mod) had his machine shop do my last one, but John had a hard time "sneaking it in" due to the machine shop being so busy to deal with small orders as it ties up the machine.

I spoke with John and he is cool with us offering this service as I believe it turned into a big hassle for him.

The cost of the service is $150.00 exchange (you send your stock disc and $150.00) + shipping cost.

The disc is thinned to 6mm (single disc application) and weighs in at 4 pounds 8.5 ounces, a HUGE (2+lb) weight savings over stock.

There may be an option for having them drilled or thinned further, but we have not spoken with the machinist about the additional cost of these options. As it sits, its just the cut-aways and thinning to 6mm as shown in attached pics.

I currently have 2 on hand and these rotors are ready to ship. Will only need paint on your end. Contact me or mn-mark for questions.....

thanks!

I forgot to mention that I also had him do the layout/cutout for the 4 hole (KH500/KZ650/Etc) discs... Price is the same at $150 exchange. These too will be done on a "made to order" basis.

Thank Mark! He's the guy doing the majority of the legwork. He found the machinist. I merely supplied the discs for initial set-up and programming.

As to S-Series... I dont see why not? The only thing is if its going to be a "one-off", there will more than likely be an initial setup/programming charge. Once he has that data, the price will be the same ($150.00)

I dont have any S-series discs here or I'd get one cut. I might just try to find a couple on ebay and get the ball rolling........

The machinist is a cool guy. Young kid into air-cooled VW's. He still has enthusiasm for "one-off" hotrod parts. And so far he has done what he promised with a very good turn-around time.

Your Mach 3 looks fantastic with the brake, the updated suspension and the Denco's.

As of right now, both rotors shown in photos are spoken for.

I believe that Mark (mn-mark) has one or two available, but I'll let him chime in.

Thanks guys!
