Can someone tell me how you could possible open the throttle on that without evaporating the tire?

You'd have to tell me what could possibly get me to ride something that embarrassing looking first.

Wasn't that a '67 Plymouth or something....? Some of us cantankerous old goats are trying to shorten the wheelbase on every bike we get on, so we can go around corners......! Seems to be a bit of a lost cause, but come on, that thing looks stupid!!

We have an 1/8th mile drag strip where i live. Friday night test & tune is 5 bucks to get in and 5 bucks to race all night. It's an absolute hoot and huge bike hang-out.

Thus, we have more than a few stretched bikes in our town. And, there's more than just a few bikes in town running a bottle. And yes, they ride them about town as well as the drag strip. Silly ? Yes. But, they're just having their own brand of fun. And yes, a lot of the guys who do this seem themselves to know little of motorcycling.

There is a black guy with an H2 at the drag strip !!! And when it comes to wrenching, he is seriously into it more than anyone else. Oh wait, he has a 2-stroke triple, so he pretty much has to be !!!

You're right, the 8th is a blast! Ours is $10.00, I think they went to $15.00 when the track in KC closed.

Best I've been is a 7:40, that was on a Honda 919

Best 60' time is on a VTX1800 - those big twins launch hard, never discount them in a short street race

The bike shown, I also have to agree that swingarm is hideous, and that is a compliment. Maybe some tasteful bodywork would help, heck, a brown paper bag would help.....
