**SOLD***

Sincere thanks to all for the help with the valuation, and the interest.

N.

Hello again gang,

Thanks for the input on the other thread, much appreciated.

I just posted this stuff on my local Craigslist - asking $3,000 there. Will sell for $2,500 to a member here.

PM here is as good as anything to contact me. Here's the text of the ad:

Have two bikes, one pretty much complete, the other halfway apart, 1 title. Engines are in unknown condition but not seized - the bike that is together is reputed to have run, badly, when it was sold to the prior owner. I have not attempted to start them. No broken fins on the engines. Two sets of stock pipes are included (three are pictured - there are only 2 included with the sale) and they have been pre-crashed-on :-). Many extras including an extra lengthened swingarm, gaskets, brake rebuild kit, rearsets, 2 POR-15 tank sealing kits, and a like new set of Fast by Gast chambers. And more. It's a project, they need a lot of work, but they ain't makin' any more of them.

Photo gallery of what's for sale is here: http://noblehops.smugmug.com/Motorcycle ... awasaki-H2

Can show you the collection evenings this week between 6-8 PM. Include your name and your phone number in your reply please. I prefer a local deal, wouldn't rule out dealing with someone further away though. Will deliver anywhere within 100 miles if you need it.

Again, thanks for the help fellas.

Nils

Your location in your profile would make a big difference....

D'oh!

Sorry about that - rookie mistake. It was Massachusetts, just to end that mystery.

I am happy to say though that the bikes are sold, to a guy that lives very nearby. A happy deal all around, in record time - 10 minutes after posting?

Again, thanks to all,

Nils

Heya Sverre,

My grandmother was full-blood Swedish. The rest of me hails from nearby northern Europe, Germany, etc. Full-blood 'Merican mongrel :-).

Wow, 10 minutes? Sick!

I'm curious what the experts think about the valuation? I don't pay much attention to H2s, but this tripped my 'good deal' trigger. Wondering if I'm right, or just jaded by 100-point $12k '72s.

It seems to have been a VERY good deal. But then again, my standards are low.
