To win some shows, a bike needs to be all original, and some people will spend whatever it takes to make it so.
And they have the money, in some ways, that must be nice, in others, well, it is what it is.....
I guess you're right, but to me brake pads are internal -- nobody knows what the rear pads look like, or the clutch disks.. The hobby has a lot of different levels which keeps it interesting for us all.
