It was Cycle or Cycle World, that I read the first article on the 72 500's. They said for costs that there would be two models, disc and point, or CDI and drum. I thought that sucked.......

I really believe that you are mistaken (But would love to be proven wrong) - The "Rest of the World" only came across the H1c after the innovation of the Internet, It wasn't sold in Europe, It certainly wasn't sold in Asia, I Provided the MACH III club in Japan with all the info about the model In fact, during an interview with the head designers (from back in the day) of the H1, They were asked about the H1c and denied ever making such a model  So, no sales in Japan, and no sales in Europe - So where else were U.S. soldiers based that they would have access to buy such a bike

Just for grins; I know the Obvious differences in the B/C; fenders, ignition, front brake....But which muffler/BAFFLE did the C come with? I think the H1Bs had the smaller diameter "H2" looking baffles with a larger end piece, but did the Cs have that baffle, OR any leftover '69-71 "triangle ended" baffles? :?

Very nice original H1C, rare indeed. Before the link to the eBay auction disappears due to age, the selling price for the bike was $3,830, it had 13,035 miles on it, and here's the narrative description from the auction:

Up for auction is an all original 1972 Kawasaki H1C. This is a real numbers-matching H1C [KAF-51858; KAE 45694] and it is extremely rare to find one in this condition. Only approximately 2000 of these bikes were ever produced, making it probably the rarest model of the production Kawasaki Triples. The engine turns over but does not run. Fuel tank was left full for many years and will need a thorough cleaning. Original key is in the ignition, and I have a clean & clear Nebraska title. Please view the photos carefully and ask all questions before bidding. I will not export this bike out of the country. I can provide fast door-to-door shipping service for approximately $650 to most places in the 48 states. If you have trouble viewing the photos below, you can download them all in one zip file here: 1972 H1C pics.zip

Quite frankly, I am surprised it sold for the price it did, which seems very reasonable.

US Service personnel stationed in overseas could buy cars and motorcycles through the Armed Forces Exchange Service (AFES) those cars and M/C's were US Spec. not Europe or Asia spec I saw that first hand in the early 80's while in Germany, there could be H1C from overseas markets.......
