just aqcuired a 73 S2a with an early 72 motor in it. I have no idea why. anyway, the motor is in good shape, turns over, carbs are free, tranny shifts. engine number is 04797 . Im pretty sure it should have the one peice alternator cover but it has been swapped for a later one. It also has the early s2 carbs with the large amount of drillings on the bellmouth. does any of you restorers doing an early S2 need this? like said, it turns over and has good compression. its all there too, carbs, etc.
let me know.

No, its not free. Nor is it made of gold.

dont need it, would rather it go to a restoration if needed. Its such a low number i know its not common to find... already have 2 running S2's and just picked up this 3rd one. (73 s2a w/early 72 motor.. yeah, i know.. wtf..) which will be parted. some stuff already made its way to my blue 73. other stuff will go the project 72.
