KAF-55376 KAE-59631 12/71 build date
Ok guys, I’m selling my H1B project. I’d rather sell to somebody on the forum I know than deal with internet scammers.

I have too many other projects going on so it needs to go. Somebody make a reasonable offer. I have over $4K in it already, -yeah I know. There are a lot of NOS parts on the bike. These things are expensive to rebuild from the ground up but it deserved to be saved so I had to do it. Discussion on the forum is encouraged.
I have a clear TN title and registration in my name. I’ve done a lot of the dirty work on this one already but it still needs a lot.

This ‘72 is the disk brake and points ignition model.
The points, points cam and condensers are new and there is spark at the plugs.
The turn signals are all new and work properly as well as the tail light, gauge lights, and front brake light. The original headlight works on both beams.
The wheels are rebuilt with new rims and spokes, Bridgestone BT46 tires and tubes. I have the original date coded rims but they are rough. All of the rear axle hardware is new.
New rear shocks, fork tubes and seals.
The bike has both side and center stands.
New chain and sprockets
The brakes are rebuilt and working with a new front master cylinder, all new rubber and metal brake lines, and new rear shoes which were very hard to find.
The clutch, speedometer and choke cables are new, the rest are good used.
The gas tank is solid and I’ve already cleaned and sealed it with Caswell sealer. The original petcock needs rebuilding.
The bike obviously needs paint. The front fender is rough.
A new set of RB’s decals is included.
The grab rail, seat and hardware are new.
The original matching key fork lock and ignition switch are on the bike.
The bike has the stock airbox with a new rubber intake to the carbs.
The engine needs a complete rebuild. The crank is seized and probably not even a good core. The cylinders will need the next overbore to 61mm. The carbs are filthy and need cleaning/rebuilding.
The gauge faces don’t match but are the correct type. I was going to have Don Fulsang fix that.
The oil injector pump and lines are included.
I don’t have an exhaust for the bike.

Feel free to ask any questions or want any other pics I can email.
I can bring the bike with me to deliver at Deal’s Gap. I’m going anyway with my GT750.

Mark

Sweet bike! I like the crossover bike with early styling and disk brake.

Yep, I was almost thinking of doing it like a blue ‘71. Pretty much the same bike but with disc brake. And points instead of distributor or CDI. I just don’t have the time or room for it.

I like the 72 but my favorite is the 71. I already have a 71 but this is a good deal for someone.

1973 H1-D is the CDI to use on it, much like the H2 Magneto CDI.
