I picked this bike up last summer after I finished my H2 project. It only has 9000 miles and is all stock. I took it completely apart and cleaned everything before reassembling. Fenders/tank/side covers were also repainted. It runs and rides great. New parts include:
rear tire
chain
sprockets (both front and back)
air filter
oil filter
clutch cable
battery
hand grips

Additionally:
Brake systems have been taken apart and completely cleaned with new brake fluid added. The brake pads have a lot of life left in them.

I'm located in NorthEast Iowa if anyone is interested.

They are a pretty good bike, but I cried when I realised it was pretty much the "replacement" for the H2....... :(

shouldn't be the "glorious" Z 750 twin which was supposed replace for the H2.
Know a guy on the later 70s who rode on roads a former Kawasaki 750 H2 which did Bol d'Or race years ago (porting barrels, bigger carbs and tank).
His bike has been sadly stoolen and he bought the new Z 750 twin: he was very very disapointed

Got my 82 KZ 750 in 1995 as me "ol faithful". And I beat the hell out of her! Still have her. 1979-81 they were the 750 to have. (according to magazines) the best power to weight ratio, and great handling.

Nice E2, those were, (and still are) great bikes. Way better than the twin cylinder 750's. The first year (1980), they didn't have enough piston to valve clearance, I had to put valves and pistons in a dozen or so that summer under warranty.
