Billet what? It looks like steel in the photos. Maybe it's titanium? It's certainly a beautiful part. |

Just shows my metallurgic knowledge now dont it folks??? I was told that is what it was, so shoot me. Its freakin lighter and better looking than a stock part. OK??? oh, and maybe you better bust the guys who make "Billett" triple cases balls a little then.... just sayin... dont shoot the salesman lol |

Not complaining here, Steve. Do you have a stock one to weigh? It might shed some light on the material the custom one is made of. The word "billet" just refers to a solid chunk of metal, so a billet crankcase would be machined from a solid piece of metal, rather than a casting that was already somewhat crankcase shaped. |
