2000 Kawasaki W650

Sub 7000 mile bike in Beautiful (9.5++ out of 10) condition. Perfect chrome, NEVER BEEN DOWN EVER. Starts, Runs and Rides like a new bike. I actually don't believe there is a scratch on this bike. If there is, it is so minor, it's not worth mentioning.. The only "blemish" I can think of is that the left handle grip has a little "cut" in it.

Bike is all original aside from rear shocks that have been upgraded to Hagons. Seat was replaced with new factory 2001 style seat, knee pads were also replaced at that time with 2001 pads. (2000 seat and knee pads SUCKED and this is a common upgrade)
P.O. blacked-out/removed the KAWASAKI lettering from the back of the seat and the "W650" decals from the side covers have been removed as well.
Comes with nice (forget the brand name) German made rear luggage rack shown in photo. Also have factory service manual as well.

Bike still has its original tires fitted....and yes, they are on their last legs.

These photos were taken 10/12. It was drizzly out, so forgive the water droplets/crap photos. Will take better when the sun reappears.

Don't know what else to say, but THIS BIKE IS BEAUTIFUL. I love staring at it, but find myself jumping on the old R75/5 when I need that old school 2cylinder four stroke "fix". Yeah, I still have the R75... :wave:

Be tough to find one in nicer condition than this......$4250.00

A riding buddy here recently got an R75/5. I rode it a little and was surprised that it feels lighter than its mid-400s weight. It also struck me as looking older than it is, which is a cool thing from my point of view. Plus it has two big built-in crash guards protruding from the crankcase that protect the sides of the bike in a crash. Well, everything except the valve covers, that is.

I have two of the early models, one low pipe, one scrambler high pipe. A lot better than the BSA it was designed after, and, the later ones that Cody shows, are leaps and bounds better than the great older ones I have.

I love my w650. I added the 01 seat and Hagon shocks also. Ditto on the smaller kneepads. They are great bikes. Hope someone on here buys it. :thumbup:

Jim, this R75 has been one of the most shocking bikes I have tried. Purchased it to see what an old airhead was like. I never expected it to actually be fun to ride. Turns out I just love the thing. I've been riding it over ALL of my other bikes lately.
Aside from the brakes (early H1-like drums :shock: ) and the fact that an RD350 would destroy it in a dragrace, it is an awesome motorcycle. The thing even handles nice.

Also, I have never ridden a bike (of any year, make, or model) that has "fit" me so well in terms of comfort. I could honestly sit on this thing all day and not be remotely tired or sore. Just a PERFECT body position and the hard-as-a-rock touring seat is the best seat I've ever sat on...

I now COMPLETELY understand how most of these things have over 100,000 miles on them by now. They are just SOOOO easy to ride long distance. This one is a '72, was purchased from an 80+ year old man that has owned it since '73 and took immaculate care of it! Best part is that it only has 22,000 on it.. :shock:

I threw on a fresh-ish set of Avons, yanked the Vetter fairing and Wixom top box off it and have been rocking it like this.

Very cool, Cody. You've pretty much described my feelings toward my 1989 Moto Guzzi Mille GT. I can put 300 miles on it in a day (without hitting reserve) and be sorry I had to stop so soon. Sunday I rode an 80 mile loop around the lake on the Guzzi, with my friend on his R75 and my daughter on the EX250. Not to take away anything from my beloved H2, but it can be fun to ride something that's not scary-fast too.

For the record, I was really planning to ride the H2, but I stupidly screwed up my back, and kick-starting was not an option. I carefully hobbled to the Guzzi and got on. Once there, I was fine until I had to get off and hobble again. :lol:

Your W650 is beautiful, and I hope it sells soon. Buddy told me that it's not unusual for someone to see his and ask what year it was made, assuming it was in the '60s, and not believing it's new.

Nice W650, I didn't realize that you had one of those. I also thought they would be a fun bike to have if you weren't looking to do a ton of highway miles.
