It's interesting that when you look up that trim ring (25012-003) the Kawasaki schematics show that it is for the following models from 1972: F6A, F6B, F7A, F8A, F9, F9A, G3SSB, G4TRB, G5, H1A & H1C.

No where is it shown to fit the meters on an H1B model. Hmmmmmmmm... :o

And that would be correct, 25012-003 is the smaller rubber ring suitable for the models that you say, 25012-004 is the correct larger rubber visor for the H1b, H2, H2a

I got confused with the original H2 parts book, which shows the speedo/tach S2 style, but a P/No. for a complete assembly.... (whatever a complete assembly actually is!) :?

As the diagram in the parts software shows, Rick nailed it.

"with a N.O.S. meter in the sealed box, you DO get :

1, Rubber visor.

2, Wiring loom.

3, Meter wrinkly cover

4, Chrome mounting nuts and washers

5, A nice plastic bag to keep it as new."

The NOS speedo I got had all of the above... PLUS the 4 dampers.
Which kind of sucked since I had already bought the dampers for $20 each! :)

The schematics I see show the part part number 25012-004 as only for the H2.
Again, I am seeing nothing that shows that the rubber trim ring, nor the outer sleeve were available for the 1972 H1b as a separate part.

Soooooo... he promised he would send the missing trim ring and that he had "forgotten" to include it in the package he originally sent. He has not done so and is now ignoring me correspondence. He also told me via PM that he would try and find an outer casing and send it also. Again... nothing.

So I suppose that him now not living up to his promise is my fault as well??
All I want at this point is to send it back to him...

Oh yeh... and now he has left this forum. Yeh... great guy I am sure!!

Of course he's ignoring you - I would too, from the very moment you decided to lodge a paypal dispute and air your crap on here. Keep it civil and private, you seem like a terrible person to trade with. One little thing goes wrong and you go completely nuclear about it.
