My new '72 H2 came with an "accordian" type damper, can't remember the details but I have photos from when it was new - big ugly rear fender too, but no seat strap.

Yep, same as that, but for the accuracy freaks, no reflecter on the rear guard, and yes, a hydraulic damper. Did the seat s/s trim have a black pin-stripe thru the middle.....anyone?

yes euro bike was like this but without reflectors on tail rest and front ears and with a strap on the middle of the seat.
Also a reflector on long rear mudguard on 72 euro only, 73 euro H2A hasn't a reflector on long rear mudguard but a different rear light with a reflector included in.
