Yeh... I admitted that I was incorrect in expecting that all of the pieces would be included. I should have asked for better pictures.

The thing that set me off is that this guy responded to my very first inquiry by cursing and belittleing me. Then tried to take the moral high road when I responded to his insolence. From then on, he refused to address ANY of my concerns without insulting me. At one point in time, when I not only told him that I accepted the responsibility of not asking for better pics, then explained what I felt about the situation, he said... and I quote... "Your entire response is rubbish".
When I asked him to explain his comment, he refused to.

But in the interest of truth... you guys that have stated that the outer sleeve and trim ring are not part of the tach... well... I believe you are wrong. It is part of OEM part number #25016-014. If anyone can provide the SEPARATE part numbers for the 1). outer sleeve and 2) the rubber trim ring, I would love to see it.

Again, when I have tried to point this out, he refused to hear it and called my comments "rubbish".
The OEM tach not only came with these 2 missing parts, but also the wiring harness. But again... this is "rubbish".
Thanks you R.B... you really know your stuff and know what a new tach comes with!! Not unpopular to me since you arent quoting opinion but truth... And you are right. I should have asked for pictures that showed all of the pieces. I guess I should have asked if the nuts and washers were there as well. And if it actually worked. And if anything had been modified. Maybe I should have asked for xrays??

Here are two links to OEM tachs sold on ebay as complete tachs:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/351088691024?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NOS-New-Genuine- ... 56&vxp=mtr

I guess it's like they always say... "buyer beware"!

By the way, I have purchased the legitimate, complete tach off of eBay that has the tach, outer sleeve, trim ring and wiring harness, dampers, nuts and washers, which is actually the way Kawasaki sold them. And it was reasonably priced at $300 for it all...

If I get stuck with this stripped down one, I guess I will pop it up on eBay for maybe $200 and pray that some guy needs a partial part...

Dean,
you need to stop making out you are the innocent party,as with most disputes there are faults
on both sides.It ends here.
Who ever paypals decision goes in favour with,it is final.

As long as you're asking for parts not in the description or photo, demand the speedometer and bracket too.

Hell... using this logic I should have asked for the whole bike! Now that would be a deal!!!

Hmm... let's see...
I have admitted both privately and publicly that it was my fault that I did not ask more questions and ask for more pics.
And no where in this thread have I said I am completely innocent in this matter.

And obviously the decision of Paypal is final. That's a no brainer!

Dean it is no point asking for the whole bike as the postage would be tooooooo much.
Riding over there would be to differcult as several mods will need to be done to the bike because of the water and gas stations are a little lacking.

Ha! I was going to comment on the exorbitant postage to ship the whole bike as well... :D
And who wants an H1 with mods...

I received your last PM and I think we can resolve this without any more animosity (i hope).
It's 2am here in the States now and I have been fighting with my wife for 4 hours. Let's take this up again later and maybe come to an amicable solution.

Cheers...

I would have only expected what was seen in the pic ,you take nothing for granted when buying off Ebay. If all the parts come in the box you should have asked . Not his fault ......it's yours
