I need to get a set of the lights that are used in the speedo and tach. I need the wiring and the sockets. Any suggestions?

McMaster Carr has trhem for cheap
There is a tall bulb and a short round bulb that fit H1's and H2's
I remember reading that the taller bulb might get too hot although when I was experimenting with batteries I also had gauges apart to replace bulbs. The tall units view brighter than the short ones and they didn't feel that hot so I went that route.

If I'm wrong please let me know!

Bulb heat is directly related to bulb wattage. The 3894 is a 3 watt bulb. Most bulbs with that style base are considerably higher wattage.

I tried LED tailight bulbs in my truck and bike and thought the standard incandescent bulbs were brighter.
Will get part numbers of the gauge bulbs I've used later this week; the taller bulbs looked to be about as bright but the taller fillament got light closer to the gauge front.

good to know the bulbs are still available. How about the wiring? I don't have any of the sockets that push up into the bottom sides of the gages
