Any good industrial supply store should have them, even in metric, like McMaster-Carr.

One thing to remember is, the regular factory piston circlips are round wire, and so the pin grooves are but round in profile. This means the groove is curved where the ring fits into it, and the cutter that makes the groove has a rounded cutting head.

The Spiro-Lock grove is cut square, not rounded, so the lock will sit firm in the groove. This groove cutting head is squared off. With this groove type, the Spiro-Lock isn't the only circlip type that will sit in it correctly, Tru-Arc types will work as well. IN the past, I have had some Tru-Arcs that were thin enough to double up in the groove. The Tru-Arc is a hardened steel clip, stamped from a sheet, which gives it one rounded site from the top of the stamping dye, and one sharp, square side, from the cutting dye. I would install the first clip with the sharp edge inward, against the pin, the outer oue reversed, sharp edge facing out. Never had one of these setups come apart.

Both Tru-Arc and Spiro-Lock are good to use.
