Post subject:  Any OEM Dual Disc Parts Out There?

I broke the ice on a dual disc setup by finding a NOS 43075-001 four-way joint and now all I need is everything else. Anybody have anything or know of anything that might be available? It might take some time and effort and $$$ to land an original RS caliper but I would like to try.

Thanks, rusty34

The parts come up, just make sure your wallet is ready.

Cody had a bunch awhile back but it got sold on eBay. now there's repro master cylinder on eBay i bought for a hundred or so and in the vendors section you will find the kit needed to swap out a left for a right and its a really nice setup but if you want nos you just have to wait and search and get a big wallet unfortunately.

A while back someone had a complete setup, used, listed on eBay for around $1250 I think it was but I didn't have enough experience at the time to know what the parts were worth.

I guess it depends on whether originality or good stopping is what you are after. The 2nd disc adds even more weight as does the caliper and the parts are high. The EX-500 conversions work very well and the parts are cheap.I have less than $100 in the conversion on my S2A. I bought good used master cylinder, caliper and a clutch perch off of ebay. Bought new steel braided line and EBC HH pads. The EX 500 clutch perch and lever give better geometry and match the master cylinder. If you go this route you have to make a small 2 wire sub harness from the switch on the EX 500 master cylinder to the existing brake lite harness.

Yeah, I sold the dual disc stuff from the Denco H2 earlier this year. I'm going a different direction with that bike.

As cool as it was to have, a single EX caliper works just as well with 1/2 the weight...so that is the route I'm going with that bike now. A big fat diet.

The dual disc stuff has been expensive for a long time. I've seen calipers sell for more than $1000.00, 5/8" masters for $700.00, splitters for $500.00....
I actually drove to St. Louis, Missouri to buy a complete bike to get the caliper, splitter and master cylinder.

No doubt the EX caliper is the best way to upgrade brakes and save weight and at a reasonable cost. I have one on it now but I would like to try the dual disc setup to find out how much improvement the kit offered over stock (plus the cool factor) and how it compares with an EX. I'm already in for a bunch on the four-way joint anyway so might as well stay with it provided I can actually find the rest of it. If I ever need to sell it a complete set-up should retain good resale value. I saw something on another board RB might be offering a repro 5/8" MC now.

Looks pretty nice, even from a "rookie" seller.... LOL

And it aint 700 bucks, WTF is with that nonsense?

The dual setup stuff has been way overpriced forever if you ask me.
