I need one carb clamp bolt for h1 carb clamp. Anybody have a spare? Or a source to buy them.

take it to the hardware store and trade it for an allen head. they're easier to tighten. If you have no luck, let me know as I have some. :)

Be careful guys, It is easy to crush the manifolds with too much torque on the bolt, and then the carbs fall off. There is a reason for the factory used a screwdriver slot.

I have always used a 10mm nut driver on those (w/extension for the middle) with no problems of buggering it up! :e11
And yes, snug, not too tight!

I dont have any extra bolts, but I just wanted to express how much I hate everything about h1 carbs and the way they mount.

There is nothing "easy" about working on, removing, re-jetting those stupid things.

From the stupid idle adjustment rods, with the stupid microscopic cotter pins to the stupid rubber cap-gasket that unglues its stupid self and gets crossed-up on the stupid spring when you are trying to center them when re-installing, to the stupid phenolic inner bore "gasket" cracking, leaking, falling out, to the stupid boiling fuel in the bowls from the lack of a REAL heat isolator, to the stupid "intake gasket sandwich" that usually leaks unless threebond is used to the stupid need for a stupid screwdriver or prybar to remove the stupid things using the mount bolts as a stupid pivot point.

I took one to work today and had one of the toolmakers make me a new one. For now I just have a 10-32 with a nut on the back, it works. I'm going to install one of Ivan's kits in the stupid Carburetors this weekend, and use my new bolt.
