Hello. I am looking for a decent set of meters (speedometer and tachometer) for my '73 H2. They do not have to be mint, but I am looking for something that is in good, functional condition. If you can provide pictures and price, that would be fantastic. Thank you for your help! Mike

I have a VERY nice pair of "used"...

I was actually planning on selling them as a "restored" gauge assembly (minus ignition switch).

Freshly powdercoated gauge covers (in correct wrinkle) and nice powdercoated mouting bracket.

not cheap tho.....

but, probably cheaper than the NOS brothers above me.

Hey Pete and RePete (Iron & RB)...LOL....would love to have the NOS gauges, but probably don't have the $800 or so to drop on the pair.. :D . If they are cheaper than that, let me know....

I am interested in the very nice "USED" ones scrambler73...if they are indeed a little cheaper though...

Thanks for the replies guys!

here's a quick and dirty pic just taken.

Image

As-Is, I would say they are in very nice "rider" quality condition.

Both have good damping, No major oil staining on face from leaky dampers, TRIP KNOB IN TACT AND WORKING although small rubber boot at the base (where shaft goes through speedo body) is shot and shaft is just a "titch" bent.... and unless you disassemble, I would leave it alone (much easy to repair when taken apart).

From 4500 mile bike. Needles a bit faded and some condensation marks on back side of glass.

Good Candidates for restoration.. Personally, I would pull the glass, clean the face/backside of glass, paint the needles straighten the tripknob shaft and run-em.

Open to offers for the gauges themselves or as stated, I was going to put them together as a complete setup minus ignition switch/key.

Shoot me a PM if interested!

Here's a nice one that came wrapped in a parts bin I bought....Not too expensive.....reasonable offer? Not a show case...yet!
Case is original- but a few chips. Tach is original in exellent shape imho...chrome is good- no dings or pitting or scratches...etc....Probably works fine! I've had it for 5-6 yrs and never needed it.

Yea Scrambler usually has nice stuff and does excellent work with lots of knowledge. I don't think he would steer you wrong. Looks like the best option to me.
