I am working on an '72 Kawasaki S2 and the [existing] handlebars are pitted, peeling, and certainly showing their age!

Attached are a few pictures of my handlebars for reference.
Dims:

2" _ inside
3-1/2" _ outside
6" _ center
5" _height
10" _pullback
25" _total width

I feel like the amount of time needed from me to strip, scrub, clean, rust remove, and re chrome is too much-- especially if a new set of handlebars is under a hundred bucks!
Anyone know where to find a comparable replacement?

pull back = ~10inches

height/rise = ~5inches
total width = 25inches

I have always found the S bars to be too high, I put late H1 bars on my S3A and they are a great fit and feel. Should be easier to find too, assuming you're not doing a 100% resto.
Of course they can always be swapped back if you're concerned about resale value.

I'm pretty sure those aren't OEM bars based on the extreme height. So unless you are wanting very tall bars, any other bar should suffice as a suitable replacement.

Actually, I'd better take that back after doing some Googling. I'm not as sure now...

So, I think I found a suitable replacement from Flanders Handlebars. Part 650-03201. The width is a few inches wider, but otherwise the rest of the sizes match up nicely.

8-)

I wonder though, there isn't the "etching" in the center- will this just slip without that? I know the handlebar mounts on the triple tree don't have too much 'teeth'....
