Me too!

I want these to have a consistent polarity and output.

And fit.

I am looking at a "pick any 2 of the needed"

Good/Fast/Cheap vs. polarity/output/fit

Troubled to find all 3 for less than a car payment.

Are your coils operational?

Still checking on equivalent.

Options are being looked at also.

My TCI(HEI) triggers are OK and flawless.

Then, I do want a ZEEL pick up trigger equivalent, only smaller.

MSD 8466-1 magnetic pickup is actually specified from Ford early Dura-Spark, 1974 thru mid 1990's, made by Standard Motor Parts (Blue Streak), but they are way too big to fit under the magneto cover. They check out to 400/1,000 ohms value, and are magnet polarity and wire sensitive. They function the same on firing center either rotation, but, if the wires are reversed, or the magnet installed backwards, instant 30 degrees out of phase. I use them to trigger not only an MSD "box", but 4 and 8 pin HEI modules (4 pin, regular carburetted engine, 8 pin, locked out EFI with timing computed inside the EFI computer).

It would be nice to find a common, low cost swap over pickup that works with our stock boxes, and the various ones we have offered to us. The Ford/MSD pickup will trigger a lot of things.
