I swear, this restoration is gonna kill me - I'm on the scrounge yet again...

Does anyone have a complete, reasonably good set of engine bolts/nuts/washers they would like to sell?

To suit what I believe (I could be wrong) is supposed to be a '72 H2 - the frame I have has the two cross-tubes across the front, so I'll need the two long 8mm bolts for them, along with the three long 10mm bolts for the front and bottom of the cases and the two short 10mm bolts for the rear at the top.
With the original nuts and washers if you may have them as well!

I have at the moment a poor, incomplete set that's been badly re-zinced that are almost useless, and I really need a full set to finally get the refurbished engine in the frame.

I'm in Brisbane, Australia for postage purposes...

Thanks
Paul

If you have the original bolts, you can use the eastwood zinc plating kit and redo the finish. I resurfaced mine that were in cruddy shape and they came out like new. I really like that ebay bolt set too. Looks excellent.

IF, one were not overly anal about being "correct"
As suitable set of replacement bolts, nuts etc. can be
purchased at any Fastenall outlet.
Your choice of hardness, finish and style as well.
Home Depot has also been a life saver many times,
not to mention a fraction of the cost from ebay sellers.

8-)

+1 Steve, I buy hardware from HD, Lowes, Ace etc.

I buy a lot of hardware from Diablo Cycle out of Canada. I bought their H2 Upgrade case kit, $20 how can you go wrong? The have the Zinc too, head bolts etc all models.

Always liked doing business with Andre and Ellen, but the whole deal is not as homey feeling since merging or selling out to Diablo.
Charges US funds when they are in Canada and it pisses a lot of the Northern boys off.
They are an honest dealer for our stuff, not complaining at all.
I prefer to buy when I can, from Jess as he is one of the fold here in my book.

Same here Steve regarding Diablo, it's not the same but still a good resource, always check pricing - some of their stuff seems high.

+1 on Jess, bought from him too - always the best, if it's something I want and his site does not have it worth a call or email.

I have got some gear from Patrick Bras in France, and it is top quality, and the postal rates are quite reasonable....certainly better than the rip-off rates from USPS...!

Thanks for the replies and advice!

I'll likely go with the Patrick Bras kit, although the 10mm 'bolts' in that kit have a nut at each end...

Are the OEM bolts, bolts (with a head as such) or are they essentially a rod with a threaded section on each end like the Patrick Bras kit?
