While I appreciate the rarity of NOS stuff these days, I'm not quite willing to pay nearly a hundred Aussie smackers for one of these leads - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/292280848988 However I am missing one and I'm wondering if anyone has a spare they'd want to sell (for less than $100 ) Or, I could likely make myself one - can someone post up some pictures and dimensions of one, please? Cheers Paul |

That is the one thing I dont like about the H2 - some sellers trying to charge outragous prices for rare parts. Have you checked with Danny? |

That's just some red and white wire and some connectors you can get from places like www.vintageconnections.com My harness isn't stock or I'd measure the wire lengths for you, but you can sort of guess from that photo. |

Not sure of the length, but this might work just as well, and is a lot cheaper, though it has an open ring vs OEM round enclosed. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-H1-H2-A7-A7SS-A1-A1SS-S1-Battery-Pos-Positive-ve-Lead-Cable-Wire-Loom-/200939455279 Or, an NOS of the same part: http://www.ebay.com/itm/KAWASAKI-H1-S2-A7SS-A7-S1-A1SS-A1-BATTERY-LEAD-WIRE-ASSEMBLY-26010-015-NOS-/171540026338 |

I hate those stock type assemblies because they use a white wire for 12v, and occasionally someone will accidentally plug that into the white wire of a stock CDI unit a blow it. |

Where does that white wire plug into so I don't blow my CDI up? And yeah, I might just make one of my own - I have a full connector kit and crimper just for this very job! Thanks Paul |

If you mark the positive white wire with a RED sleeve, you will not make that classic mistake, I've done it, it's painful ! |

Good idea, Tankie. According to the wiring diagram for the H2 in the Kawasaki manual, the white wire goes to the fuse, and then on to the ignition switch. It powers everything that uses 12v. The red wire connects to the regulator, and is what charges the battery. The ignition units are powered from the two magneto coils in the alternator, not 12v from the battery. |

Correct ,when your rewiring in the area of the C D I boxes it is very easy to get it wrong and shove 12v straight up a cdi box cos all you have is 4 white wires, there is no discriminator on the 12volt live feed. |
