Sorry I digressed…..I just couldn't resist :P
You are both huge assets to the triples community, glad to see you are agreeing!

I'll stick to the way I have done it all along, and endure all the being called stupid, old school, and whatever else, those "old, wrong ways" still allow my engines to win races, and run remarkably well.

Look Man.......All you guys are smart and have many years of knowledge.........learned many years ago in Telecom (it can be very complicated) to listen to other peoples advise and or suggestions...........then you can form your own opinion........based on input from multiple sources (not just just scratching your head)..........that's better than no sources...........we all share a common bond here and I thank and Respect ALL of you guys opinions :!:...........we won't live forever, nor will these bikes.........let's keep a good thing going

OK then........so the very early cylinders............with the tall and square cutaways.........known to be the hottest cylinders............when the transfer just starts to open, the cutaway matches the piston and is open starting at the same time........anybody measure this with "Wossners".........I am not sure, but I don't think the Piston cutaway is not as tall as the early stock pistons were..........I am guessing from memory, but I thought they were "In between" the Early versus B\C shallow pistons

Also, I have heard that the liners and ports are a different configuration on the early 71 square cutout cylinders.........the transfers are more forward towards the EX port.........the Intake is larger

John raised mine quite a bit on my mild B\C cylinders as you can see, to match the "Wossners".........whether at BDC or when the transfers start to open, I don't know .............this definitely helped it breath with the VM34's and really made it run good............the modified B\C cylinders do have plenty of "Meat" left as well
