John yelled at me for not posting over here about the oil lines that crabbysteve and I make ...
((honestly ... I thought I had  )

So here it is ... and QUIT your complaining John !!!

We are making new lines for the H1, H2 (both early and late) and some of the "S" series bikes.

If you want to see a pic of them you can use the link below. The link has several details about the lines.

Please don't PM me on this board simply because I don't have the time to watch 2 boards :D
... or you can find me over at that ... "other board"

If you have any questions, there are 2 E-mail addresses at the bottom of the linked page ... both are good.

Thanks all !!!

I got a line for my H2 from Darth and Steve about a year ago, to replace one that had a cracked fitting, and so far it has been nothing but excellent.

I've read nothing but positive posts on their lines. Plastic lines will crack/fail at some point, so it's good to know replacements are available. At this time my lines were good, so I opted for a set of their springs and balls as I have the "serviceable" check valve ends. Super fast service from two stand up guys helping out the Triple community with another sought after part.

To my amazement, when I took off the line with the cracked fitting, I bent the tube double and creased it and it didn't break. The end fitting at the check valve was brittle as heck, but the line itself would have outlasted me.

Thanks guys ... Steve and I are "honored" things are working out with these lines.

It might not be too awful long before we can offer a line for the "non serviceable" check valves that will have an O-ring seal and be easily removable by the user. It seems that the "serviceable" valves are getting harder and harder to find. So ... I decided ... to come up with something. Steve and I are working on it and I have a prototype built ... awaiting OCrabby-Wans approval ... after all, HE is the one who trained me in the ways of the Triple.

And Jim ... all the damage I have seen so far falls EXACTLY in line with what you are saying. The "lines" seem to be ... OK ... it's the fitting on the check valve side that seems to fail. One set I looked at had a TON of cracks radially all around them. Others I have seen look really nice ... go figure ...

I think it was Moo that thought it may have something to do with sitting out in the sun for extended periods ... who knows ...

It has to do with how fast they have gone.

Are you suggesting that these ancient 2-strokes ... "go fast" ... ??? :o

Heaven forbid ...

Folks, the only thing I can tell you is these ARE stand up guys. I have dealt with both and you will not find a greater duo. Honest, fair, decent and prompt are just a few words I can say with my dealings. I just recently needed some help from "crabby" and he could not have responded and produced any quicker!

I am a stickler for details in my crankshaft building service and will only put my moniker on something I truly believe in. You will not go wrong.

A true "Jedi Master" ...

... the "obscure" stuff this guy knows just blows me away ...
