I've been trying to make CDI units for triples available that cost less than the ones with hand made stainless steel housings, but it's been difficult. I talked to many manufacturers of custom stampings, die-castings, sand castings, etc., but everything I found was cost prohibitive for the low volume of these products, even from far east manufacturers. The solution is 3-D printed housings! We're making them in-house, and so far they're available for the late H1 combined A and B CDI unit. Everything other than the housing is identical to the stainless version. They're mounted to laser cut stainless steel plates, and solidly potted in epoxy. Heat dissipation should be at least as good, because I can position the heat-generating components against the thin ABS wall without worrying about the parts shorting to the housing. The price is $109 plus actual cost shipping, and I have a couple "blems" with minor flaws I'll let go for $99 each.

Here's the web page:

Still in awe that Jim and his son built the printer.
Remember seeing them for sale, around 12,000 bucks I think.

Let's understand that my son built it, with very minimal help from me. :D I plan to make a short video of it in action, and I'll post it here.
