Anyone know of a place in the U.S that can repair pitted forks i.e hard chrome plate to back to new tolerances?
I have tried many hard chrome plate companies but they all seem to be industrial lots only.
Thanks

Check out Jessbikes on E Bay. New tubes, probably cheaper than re chroming.

Go to a diesel/hydraulics shop, and ask who they use for their jacks and cranes, etc. Had a set of H2 stanchions (is that term still used?) done years ago, no problems - the tolerances won't be an issue. Hope this helps!! :) Smaller shops are usually a better source of info for small jobs.

Been some Hard Chrome places found on the inter web but they only want to do large lots for industry etc.
There's loads of places in the UK that do fork stanchions but seem hard to find in the States :problem:

Don't think the web is your friend for this one, small shop in an industrial park, fork-lift repairs, etc. I've always had better luck with small and local businesses. Trent, just read the other thread - if you work in a/c maintenance, someone there must know where you can get hard-chroming done!!

Might try Franks Forks. They might have new ones that they make.
