Perhaps over time the green gears faded like an NOS S3A tank... :wtf:

Just got mine back from Don - all I can say is WOW! My pictures do not give the workmanship he does justice - they're fantastic!
You sir do very professional work. I am quite happy

I'd get out and try them today but it snowed....

I just got mine! Look like new and the needles travel SO smooth now. Like Barry said, my pictures don't do them justice either. Thanks Don!
Oh, and heeding his advice to well dampened gauges, I replaced the handle bar and gauge cluster dampeners that are available.
My gauges still seemed loose in the housing after snugging up the acorn nuts, so I backed up the threaded stems with two rubber washers.
I went a step further and looked for the foam rubber dampers/gaskets that surrounds the gauge itself. Mine were shot. Bet yours are too.
A hard to find piece, not in re pop availability yet, I made mine from toilet bowl to tank gaskets. True. There are several sizes available at HD, but one is a perfect fit.
You have to trim away with a sharp razor, but the width and thickness is perfect and the sponginess feels just right.

Sorry to bring the toilet bowl thing to your thread............but Don, BEAUTIFUL work. Many Thanks again!!! I love them!!!
Unfortunately, I do not know the correct mileage, so I had Don set it to the year for a photo op.

Please forgive my violation of the sanctity of the triples forum with this question:
Do you offer this service for the Yamaha RD 350 as well and if so how much?

Hi Don

I´ve read thru all posts but I do not fully understand.
Are you doing metric speedos?

I am staying home this winter and have lots of time on my hands. If anybody needs your gauges restored, the turn around will be quite quick right now.

Thanks for all your past patronage.
