After making about 100 of these, demand is way down, and I won't be ordering more laser cut blanks. To get a good price, I order 50 at a time, and that is more than a lifetime supply at the current rate. Plans for making your own are still posted on the resource site. Thanks to all who bought them! |

Jim, I picked up my pair of adapters from my PO box Monday - they are as nice as pictured, even more so because of the weighty feel of them. The plan is to eventually use both of these for the installation of dual calipers on the H1B (I know, overkill...), along with aftermarket lightweight brake rotors and "grooved" Lester wheels. Thanks again Jim!!! |

I think these rotors went by the trade name "Hyper-lite" or something similar. I used them in the late '70's, with the stock carriers in a reversed caliper dual-disc set-up. They worked well, and I never had any problems - they were certainly a lot lighter than a stock dual set-up. So much so I intend to use them on my current build. They look great in a gold zinc finish - will take it easy for the first few stops!! . They are a lot thinner than the stock rotors, so I faced the calipers the equiv. amount - about .060". I think someone on this, (the other ?) board used them in a single disc set-up, and they got real hot with attendant warpage problems. They do look "double-trick"! |

Well, these rotors lay at the bottom of my parts storage box at the moment, but the ebay seller stated 4lb 1oz in his description and an oem rotor is 6lb 10oz, and my 90-hole drilled oem is 6lb 0.7oz. So we're talking at least 2lb 9oz lighter per rotor... Anyways...buy these from Jim - as I commented, they are NICE and well worth the price!!! |
