I guess i dont like the new fangled gadgets.I remember paying a fortune for my snap on tools wrenches and etc, the finish on the snap on tools did not hold up very well compared to the cheaper craftsmen tools along side of them.

I'm not crazy about Craftsman's quality in the last couple decades, but at least Craftsman and Snap-On, and most other major brands all have lifetime guarantees.

It was nice meeting you by telephone earlier, Dave.

These calipers will also make a nice poor mans digital readout for a drill press/milling machine quill or a lathe tailstock.

Got some great gear down at Harbor Freight just wish I had found it sooner.
I got those verniers (work excellently) and a 3/8ths click stop torque wrench for the same price and quality seems great. Also large dead stop plastic mallet for 2.99, large grease gun with grease a tenner,
just can't beat the value for money.
Next on the list will be the 1000LB hydraulic bike bench/lift down from 499.00 to 279.00 with coupon........

They do have their share of un-useable junk.
Once bought a pair of plastic handle nut drivers and had one shatter when it fell off a bench.
Also have had some open end wrenches that were not accurately sized. These all wnet directly in the trash after 2 minutes in the shop.

For me:
Good (considering price)- Tape measures, digital calipers, band saw, pneumatic brad nailer & cut off saw (really ineffecient on air use though)
Bad - Most hand tools, media blast cabinet; many of their electric bench tools are not available in MD as the motors are not UL rated

Hey Jim your right, I bought a set of nice looking chrome finish ball end allen keys from HF and took them into work. First time I used them the ball end sheared off in the csk allen bolt and got stuck :e4
Was a bastard to get out.
I,ll stick to craftsman/snap on for general work stuff in future......

Trent, for Allen wrenches, Craftsman and Snap-On and good, but I prefer... Allen. :-)

Anybody have good or bad luck with HF HVLP paint guns?
If good, which part number?
