Amazon's current price

http://www.amazon.com/Evapo-Rust-ER013- ... =evaporust

I bought a quart spray bottle of the block and head product, neutralizer and sealer. Haven't tried it yet, soon though. Stuff is pricey!!

Phosphoric acid is better described as a rust neutralizer rather than cleaner. It will stop rust but turns rust black rather than eliminating it. It can be painted over and is a very good treatment for cleaned tanks to prevent rust from forming as it leaves a film that acts as a rust inhibitor.
It can be applied with a steel wool pad and does a pretty good job.

Guess Im sticking with the tried and true stuff, Your link to Amazon is the same place I quoted from.
$88.00 with free shipping, but sales tax took it to around 94 bucks0.

I may get a bottle of that stuff I mentioned to use on some other items.
Might be a good alternative to the BEHRS Concrete etcher and cleaner I use to clean crusty carbs.
"Works" is also another cleaner/solvent I have used to remove oxidation and crud. Jack, you turned me on to that stuff.
There is a green "friendly" type and a blue, more caustic version.
Goes for a buck or two a bottle at the Dollar Store.

Steve maybe I can save you a little money on Evapo rust :D ,

Evapo Rust at Ollie's Bargain Outlet is 3.99 for the small bottles, they only had smalls I bought 12 of them  for comparison Evapo rust at Walmart is 9.50 for the small

Small as in 32 oz Jack?
1 gallon = 4 - 32oz bottles = $16.00 ???

That's a lot better than 25 per gallon.
I tried searching Ollie's website, it sucks big time.
Closest one to me is New Hartford (Utica) 45 miles away.
I can get the 5 gallon pail delivered with NYS sales tax for just under $90 so that's 18 per gallon.
And its in a big enough bucket to soak stuff in as well.

Bummer no Ollies close by,

Yes the 32 oz size is what Kingston Ollies Bargains has for 3.99, I bought all they had and also bought a 5 gallon empty bucket with lid dumped in my 12 bottles for future use :D

I have used that product. It leaves a white film on metal. Washing may prevent that, not sure. it works fantastic on concrete. There is a phosphoric acid based product called milk clean or milk stone, something like that, I believe does not. I think a board member has posted about it here previously. Supposedly does not leave residue. If your doing a gas tank the electrolysis method is the cats azz.
