Have you tried blasting old plastic parts yet? I hear that it brings old sun dried and faded plastic parts back to life.

I've got a set of old RG400/500 mirrors that are weather beaten and faded, and would love to see them restored to their former beauty so I could use them. They look sad now.

Aluminum Deoxidizer FAQ HOW DOES IT WORK? Aluminum Deoxidizer is a very special acid-based chemical that strictly eats oxidation. It does not remove metal. It works on all metal surfaces. It is so mild, that when applied there is no need to wipe or wash it off. It will never burn or etch the metal. When using it on aluminum, no matter how highly polished the surface is, it will turn the surface white. Depending on how fast or slow the surface starts to turn white, or to what degree of whiteness, depends on how much oxidation is on the surface. The faster it turns white, or the whiter the surface gets, the higher the level of oxidation. When using this product, don’t be afraid of it. In some cases, if the metal is extremely oxidized or if you are dealing with some sort of an acid stain, you may need to totally white-out the surface. Here's what's new! Two-cycle cylinder heads. This happens more often than you'd think: Guys bead blast their parts and then wish they had not. I can fix this but I sometimes spend a bunch of extra time cleaning because they don't mask and plug the parts as carefully as I do. This was along the lines of a resurrection. I think this motorcycle was parked UNDER the barn: Sure, we speak car! Old trick parts: 8 Kawasaki engines? Sure, send 'em! Vintage motocross! "Careful with my just-honed cylinder!" Yes, we are careful Brakes! Carbs! A "Triumph-ant" army" Sure, we can fix that. And that, and that, and that. OK, back to work!

Many thanks - I did what I could on those and it sure looked a lot better, but it would have been 15% nicer if he had left it all to me . Are you guys doing the Deals Gap thing? Super fun. I will not be there, I am in mad preparation mode trying to finish a Z1 I am restoring, plus prepping three street bikes for a tour in early June.
