Well, it finally paid off. Five years talking withe the original owner and its mine! Big thanks to Steve (III) for helping to make it happen!

I cleaned a little bit but the metal will definitely polish up more once I get some time to focus on it. All the rubber on this bike is crud so I'm sure I'll be sending some money to Repro Decals. The sissy bar was totally awesome so it came off immediately. Unfortunately it took the place of the grab rail so now I need to track down one of these too (PM me if you've got one you want to sell please!) Weird thing is it has Kawasaki logos on it. Was it a dealer option or something?
Overall, I couldn't be happier with it. I suppose I could've done without one of the old plugs snapping off in the head, but 20 mins on the drill press and it was a bad memory.

I doubt it is a '75 H1.

Man oh man, it was a tough call leaving that beauty at your house Jon. :shifty:
I knew it was going to look awesome with just a quick clean up.
AND IT SURE DOES... :)
Jess has most of the rubber bits and some great H1 hand rails.

I could not view the video you posted as it is an MP4. Can you upload to youtube?

Haha! Well, thanks for pulling through Steve! It would've been tough for me in that position too!

I'll definitely try Jess. His shipping is super quick.

And yes, I too your advice ran the bike down the hill in gear without plugs (and a towel over it). Nothing came out! After the carbs, tank and petcock were cleaned, I knew it was ready to go. It sputtered on the second kick and ran on the third!

Congrats and enjoyed the vid. I'll bet you had a smile wide when riding it. Sounds good too and doesn't need much it appears. Steve is one of the good ones for sure. ;) Have fun and be safe. 8-)
